GP Life - Get Involved!
Sunday Worship Service
Our church is designed as a place to belong, with you in mind! We have upbeat music, relevant messages, and a chance to meet new friends - all in an authentic, casual community.
Join us Sundays at 10:30 AM in the Washington High School Gymnasium.
Wednesday Worship & Bible Study
We meet every Wednesday for mid-week worship and Bible study. In a smaller, more intimate setting we worship, fellowship, and dig into the Word together. Pastor John has a more in-depth teaching during this time and you will leave ready to finish your week strong.
Everything takes place on the 3rd floor of our downtown building at 120 W Court St.
G.L.O.W. Children's Ministry
G.L.O.W. (God's Little Ones Worshipping) is our children's ministry. With activities during both Sunday morning and Wednesday night services, there is alwasy something for the kids to do. During the summer, the annual VBS is always a big hit and there are other special events throughout the year.
Classes and activities are generally for age 2 through 5th grade.
LOGOS Ladies Ministry
Logos (Greek for "the written word") is our ladies ministry. With both monthly meetings and annual events, Logos is a great way to stay connected with other women at the GP and in the community.
Our regular Logos events always include worship and a teaching from Candy Pfeifer.
Regular meetings are the first Tuesday of every month at 7 PM in Liberty Hall (Washington High School).
Adult Discipleship Classes
Here at the Gathering Place, we offer a rotating schedule of adult classes throughout the year.
The schedule typically includes:
Sunday Morning Life Groups - We're now offering an small groups before the service every Sunday at 9:30 AM
Marriage Class - Kyle and Andrea Butterbaugh periodically offer video based studies on God's plan for marriage by Jimmy Evans.
Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University - This 10 week program to help you get your finances in order.
Local and Regional Missions
The Gathering Place is supportive of local outreach ministries in the community.
We are currently supporting LIFE Pregnancy Center and Second Chance Center of Hope locally, and Columbus Relief regionally.
We encourage everyone to find a way to support these ministries whether through financial support, service, prayer, or donations of items they need. Contact the office to be put in touch with these ministry directors. Check this website for updates and contact information as we fill in the details.
International missions are important here at the GP. We financially support international missionaries and host them during our Wednesday evening service when they are in town.
Our current supported missionaries include:
New Fontiers Health Force - Kenya
Open Door Haiti (Classroom Sponsor)
We're still developing our website, and more details will come. In the meatime, we want to be sure you're aware of all of our ministry opportunities.
Other ministries of the church include:
Meals for Needs (funerals, illness, new baby, etc.)
Visitation (hospital, nursing homes, home bound)
